Never pass up an opportunity to let someone else go FIRST
People like to be noticed and letting someone go in front of you or letting them have first pick shows them that you appreciate and "notice" them. It is not a sign of weakness to let someone go ahead of you, in fact it's actually just the opposite. The person that enters a room last actually is the person with the most confidence and maybe the most manners.
Anytime you are approaching a door look around, is there someone just a few steps behind you? Could you open the door and let them go first? Might your simple act be the bright spot in their day?
Start making it a habit to let others go first!
